Puerto de Andratx is one of the best and most spectacular natural harbors of the islands, surrounded by beautiful coves of transparent waters such as "cala Llamp", "cala Moragues" and "cala d'Egos". This modern port town, with a population of about 3,300 inhabitants, has gone from being an old fishermen's refuge to being one of the most important and most visited tourist centers in Mallorca, thanks to its nautical activity, which favors a more exclusive residential tourism. The Port is a cosmopolitan and lively place, where many cultures mix and combine shopping, sun and nightlife. It also offers an infinity of activities related to the sea. However, it has one of the best equipped marinas in the Balearic Islands, the Club de Vela de Andratx, with about 500 moorings occupied by sport and pleasure boats. The maximum animation is concentrated in the promenade and the pier, where the building of "La Lonja" is located, testimony of the validity of the fishing activity and where you can buy the catch of fresh fish from the fishermen in the afternoons. Stores and restaurants with pleasant terraces overlooking the sea, fill the promenade leading to the lighthouse and the Sailing Club, passing the small stream of "es Saluet".
