Ever since the Galería Kewenig opened its first space in Frechen (Cologne), Germany in 1986, it has hosted a world-class exhibition programme, with a special focus on Arte Povera and the main international trends that emerged in the late 1960s. In 2004, Jule Kewenig opened her second gallery in the old quarter of Palma, in Forn de la Glòria. After three years in Palma, in June 2007 the Galería Kewenig moved to a new venue in the heart of the old district, in the recently refurbished Sant Feliu Oratory, an emblematic Romanesque-style building that stands out for its streamlined, original conceptual design. This oratory is one of the oldest structures in Palma, dating from the years just after the conquest.
