Sineu
Cities - Villages | SineuSineu is one of the oldest villages, located in the center of Mallorca in the Pla region. Its streets take us back to the Middle Ages, with centuries-old traditional buildings. On Wednesdays along the main streets of the town, the weekly market is held. It has a very ancient origin, already documented in 1252 and retains its peasant and artisan character. The annual fair of Sineu, the first Sunday of May created in 1319, is an important event in the calendar of fairs in the rural world of Mallorca. Some of its old buildings house small hotels, which allow you to enjoy a vacation away from the crowds of the main tourist centers of Mallorca by the sea, which in any case is never far from any corner of the island. In the center of Sineu there are a few old cellers, the traditional restaurants of Majorca, where you can taste the Majorcan gastronomy in an environment full of history.

Sineu es un pueblo con mucho encanto, un pueblo tranquilo y bonito donde perderse dando un paseo entre sus casas bajas de piedra y con contraventanas de colores calidos. Nosotros estuvimos alojados en Villa sa barcena, un acierto!
Die Märkte zeigen die Seele eines Landes. Der berühmteste «Mercato» Mallorcas ist der Mittwochsmarkt im Städtchen Sineu im Inselinnern. Schon seit dem Mittelalter werden hier Käse, Salami, Schinken, Gemüse, Töpferwaren, Leder feilgeboten – hier findet garantiert jeder ein Mitbringsel für die Zuhausegebliebenen. Zeitgleich findet Mallorcas einziger Viehmarkt statt.
