The heart of Arta consists of the typical streets, some cobbled, Mallorcan with striking windows and doors painted in green or red, with what were formerly the leftovers of the paints used for the ships. Many small stone houses, with that island air so characteristic of the Balearic Islands, and stately buildings. Among so much beauty and charming little streets, in the distance you can glimpse the imposing fortified sanctuary of San Salvador, inside which is a carving of the Virgin Mary in Romanesque style, and below it its namesake church in Gothic style. The advantage is that the whole center can be visited on foot, including the hill that must be climbed to reach the fortification and that runs along the entire wall. But Artà also has natural and historical spaces in its surroundings that are well worth a visit.

Ein schönes kleines Städtchen mit ein paar tollen Cafés. Schön gelegen an der Radstrecke
