Sa Calobra is situated at 38 kilometres from Sóller, between Morro de sa Vaca and Morro de ses Fel.les and below the Puig Major (1445 metres high), the highest mountain of the Balearic Islands. The highlight of this very small beach with sand, gravel and pebbles comes after the pedestrian tunnel along the steep and abrupt cliffs, from where you can reach the wonderful mouth of the Torrent de Pareis, which has been an inspiration for artists and where there is a choir concert each summer due to the excellent acoustics. This fact explains that the beach is very popular both for local visitors and tourists on the seaway or on a spectacular road with 14 kilometres of curbs, 12 of 180 degrees and one of 360, known as Nus de sa Corbata (the knot of the tie), with 900 metres difference in level. The marine and underwater conditions are not good for anchoring boats, because it is exposed to the winds from the northwest-north-northeast, so that this coastal stretch is very dangerous to anchor on a sandy ground with rocks and gravel. Nevertheless there are three anchorages: in the southwest of the beach, you have to pay attention to the passenger launches that come here; in the centre of the beach in front of the mouth of the torrent, on a sandy and stony ground, with a depth of 11 metres, and in the north, on a rocky and sandy ground with a depth of 8 metres. At 7,2 nautical miles there is Port de Sóller. Main technical data 30 meters Type of access: For pedestrians - For vehicles - For boats Average width: 15 meters Access for disabled people: No Degree of occupancy: Medium Anchoring zone: Yes

It's a must in Mallorca. Get there by car to enjoy the route with spectacular views of the mountains. The beach is not anything particular.

  • Sa Calobra

Very nice ! You must see this if you come in Mallorca!!

  • Sa Calobra

It is quite a nice place but in my opinion it is not the best beach on the island. Due to its popularity it is also very commercial! If you come there be ready to pay for parking, max about 20€ per day. There ale 2 beaches there, 1 just after the way from parking and the second which can be accessed by 5-10 minutes walk. If you decide to come to Sa Callobra you should definitely go to the second. It is good to visit it before afternoon as sun disappears behind the huge rocks.

Absolut sehenswert!!!!
