Inca is the third largest city in Mallorca and is located between Palma and Pollensa. While it is mainly a residential and industrial town, its location in the center of the island and its famous market as well as bodegas, attract numerous tourists. After Palma, it is one of the best connected towns on the island thanks to the train and public transport system. Inca is known as the leather and fur capital of Mallorca. This fame was reinforced when in 1871, Antonia Fluxa, a native of Inca, opened her first shoe factory on the island.
