Santa Margalida is a small village in the northwest of the central area of Mallorca, known as the Pla de Mallorca. Here you can also find the famous tourist area of Can Picafort and the beach of Son Serra de Marina. This locality has more than 3.500 residents and has all the services to live comfortably. For centuries, the fertile land in the surrounding area has been used for agriculture and livestock farming. Santa Margalida, which is often overlooked by its better known neighboring villages, is popular for its procession of La Beata, the patron saint of Mallorca.
